Lom
Lom is the gateway to Jotunheimen and Breheimen. Lom lies midway between the National Tourist Routes Sognefjellet, Valdresflye, Gamle Strynefjellsvegen and Geiranger-Trollstigen, and is a natural stop for many travelers.
You will find the majority of Norway's peaks over 2,000 metres in Lom, including Galdhøpiggen and Glittertind.
National Park Village
Lom has the status of National Park municipality and the community center as a National Park village. A compact downtown with many shops, hospitality venues and cultural offerings creates an exciting village, and river Bøvra as surging through downtown, great place to take photos. Vassvaglen in the center symbolizes the ingenious irrigation system in Ottadalen. This system is unique in Europe. Lom Stave Church from the 1100s, the Stave Church Centre, Lom open-air museum, Norwegian Mountain Center are some of the biggest attractions.
